‘Star Wars’ Han Solo Spinoff: Actor Shortlist Revealed

Where do you go when you have multi-billion dollar property? You go and make as many movies as possible.

That's why Disney is making a Han Solo Star Wars spinoff movie that is set to start filming early next year.

Variety got their hands on the list of young actors who will replace Harrison Ford in the lead as the young Han Solo.

Here's the list of actors that could potentially play the young smuggler.

• Miles Teller
• Ansel Elgort
• Dave Franco
• Jack Reynor
• Scott Eastwood
• Logan Lerman
• Emory Cohen
• Blake Jenner

First glance I'd say roll with Miles Teller. But, his showing in Fantastic Four makes me wonder if he can handle a part this big.

I don't want anything to do with Dave Franco as Han Solo either. Best bet, and the one that would take the most heat off the movie and line up for a quietly solid performance, would be Ansel Elgort.

Elgort was in Fault In Our Stars as well as Divergent/Insurgent. The untitled Han Solo movie will be in theaters in May 2018.
