For the first time in its history, Milwaukee Summerfest is not going to happen in 2020.

Add another one to the list. Summerfest in Milwaukee is canceled for 2020. At this point, we should just call it a year because every event is not happening.

It reminds me of that scene in Vacation when the Griswolds show up to Wally World and the security guard, played by John Candy, tells them, "Sorry folks, park's closed. The moose up front should have told you."

Summerfest is always one of my favorite festivals to attend every summer.

Originally, they had postponed it until September but it's understandable that they are just going to skip it this year.

According to the Summerfest Facebook page...

"After careful, diligent, and thoughtful consideration and out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our community Summerfest presented by American Family Insurance will not take place in September 2020, as previously announced."

Being a lifetime Chicago sports fan, this statement is fitting in situations like this... "There's always next year."
