Teacher of the Week Fills Her Classroom with Love and Compassion
Congratulations to our newest Teacher of the Week, Mrs. Amber Black from Loves Park Elementary.
For twenty years, Amber has filled her classroom with life's most essential elements, learning and love. Now, we get to fill her classroom with our special brand of love... CAKE, FLOWERS and the honor of being 97ZOK's new Teacher of the Week.
Just wait until you see the photo below of what's inside the box that Mrs. Black is holding.
The Teacher of the Week nomination letter was written by Candice Cantu. Mrs. Black was Candice's daughter's 1st grade teacher, and is now her 5th grade teacher. Candice writes,
"Mrs. Black has been the most caring and patient teacher any of my children have had. She definitely shows up for the social and emotional wellbeing of my daughter and all of her students! My daughter's father passed away in 2017 when she was my daughters 1st grade teacher and Mrs. Black wrote the most wonderful letter to us i will never forget her compassion in the situation! Mrs. Black is now my daughter's 5th grade teacher and she still is as caring and compassionate as day 1. Mrs. Black goes out of her way to share her personal life and stories with the students which helps them feel like she is truly there for the students she’s a real person not just there for a paycheck ! We love Mrs. Black"
The pandemic has not forced Loves Park Elementary out of the classroom, they've been in-person since the beginning of the school year, something Mrs. Black says has been good for all students.
Congratulations Amber Black, and thank you for loving and caring for our children so much.
