Do you know what lengths your child is willing to go to, to become an internet sensation?

They're willing to go a lot further than you think. As a mother of a teenager, this is something I worry about on a regular basis. My son started doing stupid YouTube tricks when he was just ten years old and I didn't even learn about the video until a year ago. We lived near a river that flooded every spring and he thought he'd be cool by scaling a bridge that went over the river. Thankfully, he didn't fall in. As far as I know, he hasn't done anything stupid like that since.

Kids have upped their game since recording skateboarding and bike tricks; kids are so bored now that they're lighting themselves on fire and not for a good cause.

Teens will take a flammable liquid, pour it on their chest and light themselves on fire. Many kids are able to put the fire out in a matter of seconds but I don't think they're considering the consequences if they can't get the fire under control.

I know you can't control what your kids do when you're not around but please make sure that you're having a discussion with them not just about this crazy trend but remind them that achieving internet fame by doing something dangerous and posting it on YouTube is just not a good way to go through life.
