The holidays are here, so who do you have to tip?

A few years ago, before pursuing radio, I was a nanny part time. I never expected to be tipped during the holidays but the families I worked for went out of their way to show me their appreciation by giving me some extra cash and personal things they thought I might need. (lotions, candles, anything that had to do with relaxing. Perhaps they were under the impression their children stressed me out.)

So, who do you tip at Christmas time? Or perhaps a better question is who should you tip?

Here are some professions I've heard of, but make sure not to leave anyone out.

Regular Babysitter
One evening’s pay and a small gift from your child.

Dog Walker
Up to one week’s pay or a gift.

Teachers
A gift from your child. (And nothing “Apple” themed, please!)

Hair Stylist
The cost of one visit.
