Looking to go out for a meal with the fam? Don't worry, we got you.

Finding a restaurant in the Rockford area the entire family can agree on is a drag. It's tough, and by the time the meal is done, you're exhausted.

The arguing, the fighting, and complete disdain for the menu can make dining out tough when kids are along for the ride.

Luckily for us, if you use Yelp, a great website for restaurant reviews, you can find a handful of great restaurants that are kid-friendly.

Mind you, I found two of the "restaurants" on the list feature about the furthest thing from a menu I have ever seen.

So I guess what I'm saying is you should take this recommended list with a teeny tiny grain of salt.

Anyway, the most family-friendly restaurant in the Rockford area is Lucha Cantina. A Yelp reviewer said, "Lucha is a regular rotation that even my kids will eat at."

Lucha is located at 1641 North Alpine Road.

Other restaurants among the top 10 include The Norwegian (which includes a "kids play area"), and Prairie Street Brewing Company.

A little further down, Discovery Center Museum and Anderson Japanese Gardens came up at #8 and #9. While both are good for kids, neither is edible.

However, Fresco at the Gardens which ranked 2nd overall is on the grounds at Anderson Japanese Gardens, so that's OK.

The rest of the list includes places like Banana Cherry Bakery, Johhny Pamcakes, and lastly, Jerry's Cafe in the 10th spot.
