Rockford's newest family attraction has been open for about a month and it lives up to the hype. We've all heard the conversations about bringing something like this to town and TILT Studio/TILT 10 is satisfying that hunger. Tilt Studio and Tilt 10 is inside the former Sears location at CherryVale Mall, occupying both levels.

It was a little weird walking through the entertainment complex without flashbacks of Sears but they did a great job converting it into an arcade lover's paradise, complete with hundreds of games, a virtual reality "arena" (in my words), laser tag, bumper cars, miniature golf, and bowling. It worth nothing laser and the bumper cars are not open. Thanks, COVID.

But, what is available to play makes Tilt 10 and Tilt Studios a must-visit place for a family. Here are a few pictures of some of the arcade fun.

Aside from all the arcade games, there are tons of "ticket" games that don't spit out actual tickets. Instead, they're saved to your game cards. The redeemable prizes aren't actually that bad and aren't really outrageously "priced", in my opinion.

For my family, our favorite part of the entire experience was the bowling or, as Tilt 10 calls it, HYPERBOWLING. There is a difference between regular bowling (which they also offer) and Hyperbowling.

Basically, Hyperbowling goes like this: Each bowler gets one through per turn. Each pin is worth 100 points. The lanes have LED bumpers with circles changing throughout the entire bumper on both sides and you're going to want to hit a bumper because bonus opportunities come with it. For example, 3 pins are 300 points and you hit the "2x" bonus on the bumper, now you've got 600 points. (My 6-year-old one the first round by thousands of points, not even kidding.

All-in-all it was a great experience. The staff was great, most follow-arcaders were wearing masks, and the atmosphere was fun.
