Drug addiction is on the rise. And it tends to start young. As parents, it is very important that we are aware of this problem and be proactive with our children.

It affects kids of all age, gender, race, socioeconomic status, and sexual orientation. Addiction does not discriminate. Talking about it with your kids and having open conversations is a great way to start. If your teenager has a drug problem already though, would they open up and talk to you about it?

The Betty Ford Center has started something called "The Top Secret Project". It is a traveling exhibit to help make adults aware of things to look for to spot drug use in teens. The exhibit recently came to Skokie, IL., according to wgntv.com
