Two of Illinois’ Most Delicious Restaurants Among America’s Best Eateries for 2024

I'm stunned, surprised, and shaken. How are there only two joints on Yelp's Top 100 US Restaurants for 2024 located in Illinois?

I always thought Illinois was the food capital of the country. I know, I was born and raised in Illinois, so maybe I'm a bit biased but tell me, honestly, dear reader, which state has better food? New York? California? C'mon now, we all know Illinois has the best grub.

Whether it be burgers, hot dogs, pizza, or Italian beef, we just do it better than the rest.

I guess I need someone to explain how only two restaurants in the entire state are in the top 100, and not even one is located in Chicago.

Well, let's at least take a look at the two restaurants in Illinois, that Yelp did love for 2024.

New Village Gastro Pub

Yelp says "Customers are transported to a pocha (a Korean street food stall) upon entering this gastropub, inconspicuously tucked into a strip mall."

New Village Gastro Pub, located at 3566 North Milwaukee Avenue is rated a 4.7 out of 5 and sounds like a must-try.

Habibi In Mediterranean Grill

Yelp says "This moderately priced college-town favorite serves Middle Eastern staples, including falafel that multiple reviewers call the best they’ve ever had."

Also rated a 4.7 out of 5, Habibi In Mediterranean Grill can be found at 825 Church Street in Evanston.
