Very Sweet Ticket Offer from Six Flags to Get the Covid Vaccine
Now that 12 to 15-year-olds can receive the Covid-19 vaccine, Six Flags has announced a massive free ticket offer for Hurricane Harbor and Great America.
Now, here's some of that good stuff our lives have been missing.
Waterslides & Rollercoasters
Illinois Governor, J.B. Pritzker, made the four-million dollar free Six Flags ticket offer announcement during his press conference on Thursday (5/13/21), saying,
“Throughout the pandemic, Six Flags has been All In for Illinois, putting the health of workers and visitors first. I know it’s been a difficult year – but that just makes it all the more exciting to be back at the park. Thanks to the life-saving power of vaccinations, it feels once again like summer’s in the air.”
The Six Flags ticket offer
Six Flags Great America is offering 50,000 free tickets to the parks in Gurnee and Hurricane Harbor in Rockford to newly vaccinated Illinois residents. Health experts say that getting vaccinated is our best way to reach herd immunity. Once we get to that number, life will be returning to what it looked like pre-pandemic.
As the video below states, it's not completely clear how you'll be able to get your hands on tickets just yet. The tickets will be given out to health departments in our region. Six Flags will be making it more clear in the coming weeks, how you can get tickets.
Be sure to follow this post as I will update it when the announcement comes from Six Flags. Also be sure to check bookmark sixflags.com/greatamerica.
