Wait, Whoa… There’s an Entire Festival Devoted to Raspberries This Weekend

Starting with... how did we just find out about this amazing festival?

You've heard of chocolate fests, strawberry fests, apple fests... but have you ever heard of a raspberry fest?

Nope. Me either.

But apparently there's a huge one this weekend in Hobart, Indiana. Sure it's two hours from Rockford, but the fest sounds pretty packed with fun and worth the drive.

So here's the rundown:

• Raspberry Madness Festival at Johnson's Farm Produce on E. Ridge Road
• September 2, 3 and 4
• Free samples
• Crowning of the Raspberry Princess
• Face painting
• Hula hoop contest
• Limbo contest
• Pie eating contest

There's also something on their Facebook event page about hamburgers and a goat village... which don't have anything to do with raspberries, but I mean, goats and burgers usually don't disappoint.

At just $7 a person, it sounds like a pretty fun fest!
