The future is HERE.

Next time you take a Walmart trip, be on the lookout for some technological looking employees. Dozens of Walmarts have started using robots in their stores.

Mystateline details -

The robots perform a variety of services, including retrieving customer's items, cleaning the floors, scanning shelves, and monitoring items as they move along a conveyor belt.

Sounds just like what an employee would do right? Right. Except these robots do it better. According to Mystateline -

The robots can reportedly scan grocery shelves three times as fast as people can, and they can check for out-of-stock items, mislabeled shelf tags, and incorrect prices.

Walmart is calling these 'smart sidekicks' and that they are! They will help free up employees so they can focus on helping customers.
