10 Thoughts Every Rockford Resident Has During Winter

Winter has been different this year in Rockford.  We reached a record snowfall already compared to previous years, the roads have been icier than we've seen in the last few years, and it's just downright cold.

Winter is not for the weak.

The second temps dropped, we all have the same thoughts.  There is not an original thought in this world, trust me.

"Okay, it's cold.. but isn't that bad"

"Why does it get dark at, like, 4pm?"

"I should really leave earlier than I normally do to be face... but I won't."

"My parents could've lived anywhere and they chose the Midwest.  Wow."

Sometimes winter is long in Rockford.  Sometimes it gets cut short.  Either way, we all get to bond over something for the same amount of months and then complain about another season change shortly after.  The debate on Facebook right now is which month is your least favorite and most people are saying winter... I would have to agree a thousand times over.  Dry nose. Getting a cold.  Crusty knuckles.  Getting too hot laying to go somewhere indoors.  The worst.
