Each state has at least one weird thing worth going to see. It looks like Wisconsin has two.

I somehow ended up on the Silly America website. I came across their list of the 50 Weird Roadside Attractions in the United States and noticed Wisconsin mentioned a few different times.

As you probably know, I don’t live in the Badger State but I do vacation up there frequently and I’ve got to say I had no idea either of these things were in Wisconsin.

First, the House on the Rock, which Silly America referred to as “perhaps the most well-known tourist attraction” in the state.

The House on the Rock website called the place a “majestic work in progress.”

It began in 1945, when a man named Alex Jordan had a towering goal: to build a man-made retreat as awe-inspiring as the view from the rock upon which the house would eventually be built. From that spark of imagination, the House on the Rock has evolved to include displays and collections of the exotic, the unusual and the amazing that can be viewed as three separate tours.

Jenna S. called it an “interesting place” and was “fascinated by all of the music machines” while Ken R. added, “if you’re anywhere nearby you have to see this!”

However, PieroLuigi60613 called it “an unsafe maze of madness.”

If that’s too wild for you, maybe you should check out the world’s largest fish.

Located at the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame in Hayward, Wisconsin, Silly America says "The world’s largest fish (which is also the world’s largest fiberglass sculpture, period) portrays a leaping muskellunge (muskie) that stretches one-half city block long and four and a half stories tall.”

SallyAnnBrewster called the attraction “definitely not Disney World” but added, “the attraction is nonprofit.” Zebra_45678 said the museum is “interesting” while HowieRoll09 chimed in with “not super worthwhile” and “could have given it a miss.”

If you’re picking a weird roadside attraction to see in Wisconsin which of these two are you going to see? The House on the Rock or the World’s Largest Fish?
