If you though the cream puffs, fried foods, rides, and live music were the best parts about the Wisconsin State Fair, think again.

I went to the Wisconsin State Fair with my pregnant friend so she could eat all the greasy, fried, delicious foods she was craving.  Because she's pregnant, we wanted to get a close parking spot so she wasn't exhausted.

There was no street parking left, so we had to drive in circles around the surrounding neighborhoods to find a spot.

Well, all the residents in West Allis, Wisconsin know exactly how to make a little extra money around this time of year: Charge event-goers to park in their yards and driveways.

Prime Parking Spots Are The Best Part Of The Wisconsin State Fair

Everywhere we turned, residents were flagging us down to park in their driveways and "self-made" parking spots on their lawns.  Seemed sketchy at first... but we did it.  $20 later, we were ten steps from the entrance of the Wisconsin State Fair and parked in some random dude's yard.

Let me tell you, when you're with a pregnant woman who's been waiting to eat all day, you'd pay any amount of money, too.  Totally worth it.  IT'S A GAME CHANGER.

Oh, the food is the runner up if you're wondering.  Fried foods on a hot day doesn't sit right with me, but when will I ever get all of these in one place again?!
