Wisconsin’s Best Under-the-Radar Restaurant Is Close To Rockford

You've been to every restaurant in Rockford and then some and now you're looking for someplace a little different.

A little say, under-the-radar? That's how Cheapism describes the list of restaurants they just recently profiled.

Under-the-radar as in, not all hype, or tweets, or snaps, or tons of Yelp and Trip Advisor reviews and recommendations.

Illinois' most under-the-radar restaurant is in Chicago, Punch House and realistically, any restaurant that survives in a burg the size of the Windy City isn't technically under-the-radar.

Scrolling through the list I noticed a restaurant in Madison, Wisconsin that's not too far from Rockford that actually made more sense and totally qualified as under-the-radar.

Pat O'Malley's Jet Room, located in Madison is just over an hour from Rockford.

Since 1977, Pat O'Malley's Jet Room has been a huge hit with locals who come to the Dane County Regional Airport for the grilled perch filet, homemade chili and cheddar cheese omelet, and the fried cheese curds. Monday through Friday order the egg dishes the Halfa Benny, the Line Shack Stack, the 1x1x1, or The Elevator.

Does Pat O'Malley's Jet Room count as under-the-radar after the hype Cheapism and now us have given the longtime restaurant?

Probably, but just to be sure, keep the tweets to yourself. A place like Pat O'Malley's Jet Room doesn't need the hype.
