August 8, 1988 was the day, watching the Cubs at home, was not always going to be something I could do on a summer afternoon on the couch.

What a night it was. The Chicago Cubs biggest fan, Bill Murray, was inside the friendly confines for the big light show and said what we all thought. Whether you were lucky to be at Wrigley or you watched on TV, the lights made the most beautiful ballpark in the world, look even better.... even in the rain. The first official night game at Wrigley was actually August 9, 1988.
