8 Famous People Rockford Radio Employee Has Met Before Age Of 24

I've seen a trend of social media users posting their bizarre and strangest interactions with celebrities, and I'm here for it because it's a once-in-a-lifetime encounter.

Sooo, it was only necessary I tell you all the celebrities I've met unexpectedly! In my younger years, meaning 16-20 years old, I have met the following A-List, B-List, and what I like to call 'Z-List' celebrities:

Wiz Khalifa - American rapper

When I was 16, I somehow won Meet and Greet tickets to hangout with Wiz Khalifa and Ty Dolla $ign for an hour before the concert started.  They were super chill.  Wiz kept moving during our photo so... this was the best I got.

Kelly Ripa - Talk Show Host

At 17, I was waiting at an ice cream truck in New York City and Kelly Ripa just happened to walk by with her husband.  If you don't know who she is, she's a talk show host from Regis & Kelly, now Kelly & Ryan.

Ted Cruz - U.S Senator

At 18, I was one of the few people Ted Cruz took a picture with at his rally in Rockford.  I made a bet with a friend that I'd meet Ted, and surprisingly he walked right up to me like I was the only person in the room with him.

Bernie Sanders - U.S Senator

The same election year, I ran into Bernie Sanders.  It was my first day on vacation at Santa Monica Pier and a woman was yelling that Bernie was nearby, so I naturally believed her.  I spotted Bernie on a carousel... like an actual merry-go-round.  A security guard threw me to the ground to get me away from him, but he ended up walking up to me saying, "quick photo".  That's all he said.  What a moment.

Ty Burrell - Modern Family

Same vacation, but at the Finding Dory Premiere on Hollywood Boulevard.  Ty Burrell, actor on the TV show Modern Family, was kind enough to take a photo with me before going into the Premiere!  He was actually really friendly.

Anna Kendrick - Pitch Perfect

At 18, I went to the Premiere of Pitch Perfect 3.  Out of all the actors attending the event, Anna Kendrick took a picture with me!  She didn't say much, I'm guessing she was overwhelmed by all the fans screaming her name.

David Harbour - Stranger Things

At 20, I won a ticket to the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles and my goal was to meet David Harbour, also known as Hopper from Stranger Things.  A girl next to me actually spotted him on the red carpet and I just screamed his name until he made eye contact. Losing my voice really paid off!

Bart Johnson - High School Musical

To finish it off, I'm the biggest fan of High School Musical.  In 2018, I DM'd Coach Bolton (you know, Zac Efron's Dad in the movie) on Instagram saying it's on my bucket list to meet him and he responded that we should meet up.  He's probably the kindest celebrity I've met in my life, hands down.

Since then, I've taken a break from celebrity chasing.  I guess you could say I'm getting older and I realized it was weird if I continued doing it in my mid 20s and on.  Though I've met some other "interesting" celebrities, these were my favorites I just had to show you. I truly hope you enjoyed living vicariously through me!
