NASCAR is going to Wisconsin after leaving Illinois.

Last week, NASCAR announced they were dropping the race at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet. Check out the story if you missed it, HERE.

I really can't say that I'm surprised. It's been happening a lot over the past few years. The citizens of Illinois are not happy. They are moving out of state. Many are going to Wisconsin. That's not all. Several businesses and companies are bailing from Illinois and heading to Wisconsin too. Now, it's spreading even farther and expanding to sports that are jumping ship.

According to tmj4.com,

"Finally, the NASCAR Cup Series is coming to Wisconsin. Some of the biggest names in racing will drive at Road America on the Fourth of July, in 2021."

Even though I hate to see it leave our state,  I am glad it's close enough so fans from here could still attend. Plus, I've heard great things about Road America. The race should be interesting because it will be a road course. That will be a much different experience for the drivers and fans. Congrats to our neighbors to the north.
