Another Exciting Downtown Rockford Project is Completed

Do you need another excuse to get outside and get walking or biking? Like this amazing Fall weather isn't reason enough. But if you need another, here it is.

The abandoned Illinois Railway bridge you see below has been transformed.

Downtown Rockford has just unveiled a new pedestrian bridge connecting the bike paths that run on either side of the River. This is just one of several projects that the City is investing millions of dollars in to make our city more attractive to new people and investors, according to mystateline.com.

So if you're looking for some new scenery for those Fall walks, then be sure you get Downtown and check this bridge out while also enjoying all of the beauty of the color changing trees surrounding the river. And bring your camera, I'm sure you'll have some gorgeous photo op's. Time to start thinking about pictures for those Christmas cards.
