Bear Spotted In Rockford [PHOTOS]

A black bear was spotted quite a few times this weekend in Rockford, most recently near North Main and Roscoe Road. For real, an actual bear roaming around Rockford.

The bear was first spotted by police shortly after 1am Saturday morning, and then again at 2pm. Sheryl Hutchinson and her husband, Michael Griffith were the ones who took the pics. They noticed the bear outside while they were eating breakfast yesterday. Of course, they called the authorities too, because even though watching a bear seemingly attempt to open your garage door is entertaining, it's also super dangerous.
