The men and women of our military will be a major part of honoring those working on the front lines of health care in the fight against COVID-19. The Navy's Blue Angels and Thunderbirds will fly over more than twenty cities in America over the next few weeks, according to NBC-Chicago, as a way to show appreciation of those in health care, first responders, and other essential workers. The display of unity was announced by President Trump this week.

At Wednesday’s White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing, President Trump announced the tribute was “the idea of our great military men and women,” and will recognize health care workers.

The Blue Angels and Thunderbirds will not be flying together over each city; only the Blue Angels are scheduled to fly over Chicago and 13 other cities. The Thunderbirds will primarily fly over western cities.

No specific date for the flyover has been announced.
