Child Care Options for Stressed RPS 205 Parents
I'm not going to lie, the hard school and life decisions we've had to make the last few weeks are keeping me up at night.
I've gotten past the whole "will my kids be safe if I send them back to school" question, and am now totally focusing my worrying on the "how will I make all these schedule changes work" question.
I truly feel RPS 205 is doing their best not to make our lives any harder, and that they have several impossible tasks to figure out right now. Many RPS parents feel info is not coming out fast enough, but we all need to realize new COVID-19 guidelines and protocols from health officials are coming out all the time, and RPS 205 officials are releasing the changes to us as soon as they can.
That being said, if you're an 8-5 working parent with elementary-aged children you are sending back to school, I get that your life is a hot mess right now. You can't quit your job in order to pick your kids up from school at 11 a.m. on Wednesdays. You can't be in two places at one time, so what do you do?
RPS 205 is working hard on child-care options for working parents, and you can click here to see a few they already have in place.
I know the YMCA of Rock River Valley is also working on additional programs for working families, and the finalized plans will be coming out soon...
Stay tuned, and stay calm my over-stressed, working-parent friends!
