David Ross Gets a Pie in the Face For Charity
This summer's version of the 'Ice Bucket Challenge,' is a little less chilly, and a lot more delicious.
Remember the Ice Bucket Challenge? It's hard to forget!
It was a summer filled with everyone you know dumping ice on themselves raising money for ALS.
It was pretty huge, and ever since then, a new challenge has tried to recreate the magic.
The latest? A pie in the face for gastroparesis. Say that five times fast.
Web MD defines gastroparesis as:
is a condition in which your stomach cannot empty itself of food in a normal fashion. It can be caused by damage to the vagus nerve, which regulates the digestive system.
The challenge actually started last summer, but didn't really get popular until it hit the MLB, which is of course how it got to David Ross, who let two of his kids hit him in the face with a pie... and push him in the pool.
With almost 100,000 views in less than a day, I think this pie thing could catch on.
Except I would like a real pie, french silk maybe? Not just whipped cream.
