Driver Lucky To Alive After Accident Splits Truck into Two Pieces in Wisconsin
Ever wondered what a truck looks like after it breaks in half?
It was a scary scene Thursday evening in Montrose, Wisconsin when Belleville Wisconsin Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a 2-vehicle accident.
Based on the verbiage in their social media post, it indicates drivers were either disregarding Scott's Law or not following detour instructions.
Multiple vehicles drove past fire trucks and firefighters trying to divert traffic. This adds additional risks to drivers and emergency crews on scene.
Multiple emergency crews were called to the scene where one vehicle had rolled over. The fact that no one was seriously injured is incredible.
Responders were originally informed the accident involved three vehicles but that proved not to be the case.
Upon our arrival two vehicles were involved, one had rolled over and been split into multiple pieces.
Assisting with the call were:
- Belleville Wisconsin Volunteer Fire Department
- Belleville WI Police Department (including off duty officers)
- Dane County Sheriff's Office
- Belleville Area EMS
- Fitch-Rona EMS
- New Glarus Fire Department (which was called off while en route.
- Disch Towing
No further reports on the truck occupant(s?) were reported but, by the looks of the photos, whoever was inside is lucky to be alive.
Let this serve as another reminder to slow down, be attentive, and always give emergency crews and vehicles on the sides of roads plenty of room when passing.
