Facebook's face recognition tagging feature got them into a little bit of trouble in Illinois, which could be a win for you.

Some people say it doesn't pay to use Facebook and they may be correct. If you were a Facebook-user living in Illinois between mid-2011 and mid-2015, you could be a recipient in a class-action lawsuit, according to Daily Herald.

A series of lawsuits, including one first filed by Chicago-based Edelson PC, contended that Facebook violated the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act by collecting face prints for its "tagging" feature.

Edelson PC, the law firm involved in this lawsuit, is collecting our information on a volunteer basis, and that's about it for now.
