The older I get, the more I realize that my soul was created for the peaceful, easy feeling of fall, just like the song says, I know the season between summer and winter won't let me down.

From my seat of consciousness, no season inspires me as fall does. My wife and I share 4 children and summer can get a bit over-the-top busy, so the transition to fall has a way of just washing over you like taking the perfect shower, or getting underneath the softest blanket.

Whether or not you have a significant other, or kids, we're all moving through life at a pretty high rate of speed. That's not good.

What could you do right now, to slow down at this moment, just for a few minutes?

What's below is how I spent the last few minutes slowing my life down a little, to change my thoughts today. What I said earlier is true, I forgot just how beautiful fall in Illinois looks.
