Health Department Finds Evidence of West Nile in Machesney Park
While this time of year brings the annoyance of mosquitoes everywhere, now comes word that an area mosquito pool has tested positive for West Nile Virus.
The Winnebago County Health department has test mosquitoes in Machesney Park and found first evidence of West Nile Virus, according to mystateline.com. This doesn't comes as a big surprise since the virus has been present in the county for 15 years.
