According to nbcchicago.com, the casino’s parent company, PENN Entertainment, confirmed that all gaming operations at the current riverboat site will continue as normal until 5:59 a.m. on July 29. The nearby hotel will stop accepting reservations after July 26.

What’s Coming in August?

Pending final approvals, the new Hollywood Casino Joliet is scheduled to open on August 11. The new facility will be located off I-80 and I-55 in the Rock Run Collection development. Expect around 1,000 slot machines, 43 live table games, a baccarat room, an ESPN BET sportsbook, and a 10,000-square-foot event center for all ages.

There’s also plenty of parking, 1,330 spaces, to be exact.
