In case you're still not sure, here's the law in Illinois when approaching a stopped school bus.

The kids are going to be starting up school again soon. That means school buses and stops all over town.

It's probably been a while since you took a driver's license test, so some of the rules of the road might be a little foggy. You might even get to the point where you start second-guessing yourself. Especially, when it comes to school buses.

Once again, the Illinois State Office is here to help. Recently, they had a post on their Facebook page about the exact topic.

"Do NOT ever pass a stopped school bus with its red lights flashing and it’s stop sign and stop arm extended. School buses transport the most precious cargo there is, children. It is the driver’s responsibility to know the law in order to keep them safe. Please be extra vigilant in the morning and after school as these children are depending on you to obey the laws around school buses. They are depending on you to watch for them and STOP when the bus stops to let them get on or off."

Here are some pictures courtesy of the Illinois State Police Facebook page that will also help.
