A popular brand of frozen waffles have been recalled after it was discovered some of the products may be contaminated with plastic.

Waffles Recalled in Thirteen States

Kodiak Cakes LLC, a company based in Utah recently recalled it's frozen waffles sold across thirteen states, including Indiana and Kentucky "due to the presence of soft plastic film." The recalled products were also sold in Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, Wisconsin, and South Dakota.

Kodiak, which brands itself as a company that serves up "the good stuff," manufactures more than just frozen waffles.

These Waffles Should Not Be Consumed

The waffles sold in 40 count boxes at Costco, and labeled as “Kodiak Protein-Packed Power Waffles, Buttermilk & Vanilla” should not be consumed. No other Kodiak products are included in this recall.

UPC & Lot Number for Recalled Kodiak Waffles

According to a letter from the company, the recalled products have the UPC code '7 05599 01920 3’ on the boxes. They also have an expiration date of January 1, 2026, and a time stamp of 12:00-23:00. The recall only impacts products with the lot code: 24193-WL4.

What To Do With Recalled Kodiak Waffles
