Surprise Find In Milwaukee: An Alligator In A Basement
First responders in Wisconsin discovered an alligator in a most unlikely place, which ended up being an animal rescue situation.
Alligator Found In The Basement Of A Home In Milwaukee
Do you remember a couple of years ago when it seemed like it was the year of the alligator? It started with Chance the Snapper in Chicago and then there were sightings the rest of that summer in Illinois and Wisconsin.

I haven't heard of any alligator sightings lately in Wisconsin and Illinois. That's a good thing because in those situations, the gator is not in a proper habitat, and someone has it as a pet. By the way, alligators do not make good pets.
I was just thinking to myself, it's about time for an alligator sighting this summer and it finally happened. It was even more of a surprise than usual because the fire department found the beast in the basement ot a house fire. Luckily, the animal wasn't hurt.

This could've been a much worse situation. Now, at least the alligator will get placed in a proper home with good food and care. So, even though the gator was almost lost in a fire, now the animal is in a much better environment.
According to WISN...
An alligator was recovered from the basement of a house on 14th and Scott streets in Milwaukee on June 21 after a fire damaged the building.
Nobody was inside the house at the time of the fire, but the alligator was found in the basement once it was put out.
MADACC was called for the alligator.
