You Can Support Local Organizations One Pork Chop At A Time
It's time to chop it up at this year's Pork Chop Day in Loves Park, Illinois! I didn't think I'd ever say that in my life, but here we are.
This brings back so many memories of living at my parents' house. My dad would make pork chops once a month and he served it with buttery rice and a huge omelet on the side. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. Yummmm!
The Parks Kiwanis Club is having their annual Pork Chop Day on May 21st, 2022 and you're invited! You don't even have to get out of your car, between 11:00am and 5:00pm you can drive up to 2018 Windsor Rd. Loves Park, IL 61115 and buy a plate for just $8! If you order in advance, it's only $7. Then, you just drive off and enjoy your delicious meal!
Not only do you get a single pork chop with the $8 ticket, but each meal gets a pork chop sandwich, Ole Salty's potato chips, applesauce and a bottle of water.
A nice little meal to have for lunch, amirite?
What's exciting about this event is that the proceeds get donated to supporting local organizations in the Stateline - GiGi's Playhouse, Walter Lawson Children's Home, Blackhawk Council of Scouts, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Northern Illinois Food Bank, and college scholarships.
If you're a returning customer to this awesome event or this is your first time buying a ticket, just know you're purchase goes to something great! Tickets are available at Blackhawk Bank on Forest Hills, at Gough Heating and Air Conditioning, or from any Parks Kiwanis member.
Thanks to all the sponsors, too!
