A local food truck is gaining some new foodie fans in Chicago.

Fork & Stein is celebrating their one year anniversary this week and they're doing it in style. When WGN’s Chicago’s Best asked on its website what the best food truck in the area is, fans rallied behind them and earned them on a spot on the popular TV show.

Yesterday, the crew from Chicago's Best came to Rockford and filmed an episode with Fork & Stein's while they were open for lunch outside of Kryptonite.

Fork & Stein co-owner Andrew Carlson told WIFR, "“It’s all interesting to me. I think it’s great that people enjoy what we do and hopefully they continue to and attention like this is really cool, so hopefully it gets the word out there and we have more people try out what we do."

How have I not experienced this food truck yet? I love food trucks. If you're like me and haven't experienced Fork & Stein, make a plan to do so. I hear their Swamp Thing sliders are "amazeballs".  You can spot them all over town, see them at Davis Park during City Market and be sure to like them of Facebook; that's where they post where they'll be next.

Congrats, Fork & Stein; here's wishing you all the best and even more success.

Don't miss their episode, set the DVR for 10 p.m. on Sunday, August 16th.
