Local Quilters Making Christmas Stockings for Soldiers

For more than 10 years, the Sinnissippi Quilters Group has been making Christmas stockings for soldiers and this year's effort has just started. Read how you can be a part.

The group began tracing and cutting patterns on over 2000 stockings this week, according to wrex.com. The stockings will then be filled with gifts for American soldiers serving around the world.

In early August, the group will begin quilting the the stockings, and fundraisers are planned for October and November to buy the gifts to be put inside.
