Lost Tire Found On Rockford Street
On a Rockford street, a lost tire has been found.
I am very excited that we are finally starting to get some spring-type weather. One of my favorite things to do on days like this is to take a nice walk around my neighborhood. I throw on some headphones, crank up the tunes and go.
Sometimes it is a quick one just around the block. Other times, I make it more like a mini-adventure. A couple of days ago, it was so nice out I was cruising around for over an hour.
Every once in a while, I will witness something interesting or even unusual. Maybe, it was because it was my first time out for the year, but I ran into a few different situations.
The first one was a mini-Easter parade featuring the bunny himself. Check it out, HERE. I also saw a "just married" sign made of cups in a chainlink fence. You can see it for yourself, HERE.
The final odd thing I saw was a lost tire on the side of the road. It was near the corner of Carolina and Ohio in the Rolling Green area. Here is a closer photo of the item.
I have so many questions about this whole situation. Where did the tire come from? It appears to be older. The rim is a little rusty. There is no car nearby missing one, so an immediate solution is not likely. Did it fall off while someone was driving? I would like to think that someone in the area would not just leave it there for someone else to take care of.
I checked social media, Craigslist, and even our community's Nextdoor app to see if anyone reported a tire missing, lost, or stolen. I had no luck. Take a good look at it. If you recognize it please notify the owners. I would hate to see someone go without their old tire. I am hoping to find the owner.
