What a beautiful time of year for the Stateline to come together and help beautify our neighborhoods.

One Loves Park program is looking to do just that this weekend. The program's goal is to bring together government officials and everyday residents to help improve the city in a more casual manner.

WTVO details -

When Angie Wallace noticed that a drainage grate in her neighborhood, that was overgrown with weeds, was causing some flooding, she, along with First Ward Alderman Clint Little, took action. The simple task was one of the first projects for what is now called ‘Loves Park Pulse.’ Little hopes the initiative can beautify their city.

Now she's making her little project into a bigger initiative. So what're this weekends details? Mystateline explains -

This Saturday’s cleanup will be focused on the stretch of Forest Hills Road from Harlem to 173. Anyone interested in volunteering should meet at Rockford Speedway before 8 a.m..
