Man Discovered In Cargo Hold After Landing At O’Hare
A man was discovered inside the cargo hold of a plane after it landed at O'Hare in Chicago on Saturday.
WGN shares that an employee for Piedmont Airlines was hungover while working the baggage for American Airlines Flight 363 in Kansas City on Saturday.
The man apparently needed to sleep it off and decided it was a good idea to take a nap in plane's cargo hold.
Unknowing to the crew on the plane or on the ground, the plane took off with the employee asleep in the heated and pressurized cargo hold of the plane.
He was discovered by police an hour later when landing at O'Hare in Chicago. He told police "he was intoxicated and had fallen asleep."
ABC7 shares the reason the man's disappearance wasn't reported prior to take-off is because "there was no luggage loaded into the forward hold (the one he was sleeping in) for the flight" to Chicago.
Thankfully the man was not hurt and was not charged with a crime, but he has been suspended."
Well, that's a story you can add the "Drunk People Do Stupid Things" files.
