Man Finally Meets Woman That Saved His Life at Wrigley Field
Josh Byrd needed a bone marrow transplant in 2014, a woman came to his rescue and they finally met for the first time at Wrigley Field.
Josh is 31, he lives in Chicago and was diagnosed with leukemia a few years ago. He needed a bone marrow transplant, it was a life or death situation.
He found his match in Stephanie Newton, a complete stranger from Tennessee.
Stephanie signed up for the bone marrow registry, over five years ago and was never a match until Josh.
Now, Josh is living in much better circumstances than before thanks to Stephanie and a year after the transplant the two of them met at Wrigley over the weekend for the first time.
Despite being from Tennessee, Stephanie is a life long Cubs fan, and so is Josh.
