The big topic of conversation with my kids this past weekend was about what princess they were going to dress up as for Halloween this year. In the back of mind I was thinking, "trick-or-treating might not happen this year, is it even worth buying a costume?", but I don't want to break their hearts, so I will make Halloween happen for them this year come hell or high water.

One of the Halloween events we go to every year is Midway Village Museum's All Hallows' Eve. My kids LOVE running through their historic Victorian Village gathering treats, and up until now, it didn't look like this beloved event would take place in 2020.

The good news is, it WILL take place, but the bad news is, kids won't be running through the Village, they will stay bucked safely in their seat belts instead.

I'm not gonna lie, the idea of sitting all dressed up in our car to trick-or-treat is a bit disappointing, but I am incredibly thankful Midway Village found a safe way for the fun to continue! Kids still get to dress up and get candy, and if your kids are like mine, that is all that really matters to them in the first place.

In past years families could pre-register to attend the All Hallows' Eve event, but that won't be necessary this year. Simply drive up to the entrance of the recreation path off Gulford Road on October 17th starting at Noon, pay your $5, and proceed to have some spooky fun!
