Midwestern Pet Food Issues Recall For Salmonella
You might want to double-check what kind of pet food is in the pantry.
Midwestern Pet Foods is issuing another recall just months after they recalled dozens of products that were potentially linked to the death of more than 70 dogs back in January of 2021.
USAToday - The Evansville, Indiana, family-owned company says the new recall is for specific lots and expiration dates of 10 of its dog and cat food brands in a recall notice posted on the Food and Drug Administration website Tuesday.
The contaminated food was distributed nationally as well as online. The entire list of products, including UPC codes can be found here. The list is lengthy but includes these brands:

It should be noted that no pets have fallen ill due to any of the Midwestern Pet Foods products, this is just a cautionary measure when some tainted samples were discovered during a quality control check.
