On the 2021 NASCAR schedule, the race at Chicagoland Speedway has been dropped.

I'm not a huge racing fan but I do enjoy watching it. Especially, live in person. When I go, it's usually Rockford Speedway. They always have good racing. Plus, the track is legendary. It's a great place for some good old fashion affordable family fun.

I've been fortunate enough to check out the big boys on the upper levels of the NASCAR circuit. I haven't traveled too far for a race. Luckily, we have a nice track not too far away in Joilet, Illinois. It's the Chicagoland Speedway. It's an entertaining place to experience racing. They make it a huge weekend festival full of activities. Plus, it's an excellent place to watch all the action. What's nice is you can make it an overnight stay or just go for the day.

The past few years, it's been an important date on the schedule but recently the track was dealt with some disappointing news.

According to  fox32chicago.com,

"NASCAR is hitting the track again next year, but Joliet learned there will be no races at the Chicagoland Speedway. The Chicagoland Speedway hosted NASCAR events for more than two decades, but now they are pulling out. NASCAR officials will only say the move is part of bold changes to the 2021 schedule."

It was also announced that there will be no drag races at Route 66 Speedway too which is also located on the grounds.

Hopefully, racing will eventually return down the road.
