New Cubs Manager David Ross Describes ‘The Best Day Ever’

On the field and off, David Ross shares his story of faith, family, a near tragedy and success. The new Cubs skipper also gives the best hugs.

It's now official, David Ross (Grandpa Rossy) is the new manager of the Chicago Cubs. While no one knows exactly what kind of manager he is, I can tell you that he's an incredible inspiration. I'm also fairly confident that 'the best day ever' he beautifully shared with me below, has a near-match in that Cubs World Series win.

An hour on a Sunday in January of 2017, followed by a short conversation on 'his best day' that ended with hug, was all I needed to know that David Ross is a quality guy.

David Ross visited Rockford's City First Church on January 29, 2017 and sat down with lead pastor Jeremy DeWeerdt.

After his conversation with Pastor Jeremy is when I had my brief but impactful moment with new Cubs manager, David Ross.
