New Study Shows Chicago is One of The Best Cities to Stay Active in
2020 really made us realize just how important it is to take care of our body. On top of just trying to stay healthy while avoiding catching COVID-19, we all got a taste of just how spoiled we are with physical activity options. The days of just heading the the gym, your favorite yoga class, or even an outdoor sports set up are are a thing of the past it seems.
In-home workouts were the hottest way to get fit in 2020. (Thank you YouTube) But I'm hopeful that soon enough all the places we loved to break a sweat at are going to slowly but surely open up back to normal. And it turns out Chicago is one of the best cities in the country to get active in.
How does WalletHub determine what cities make the top of the list? Well, according to them -
With New Year self-improvement in mind, WalletHub compared the 100 biggest U.S. cities based on 36 key indicators of an active lifestyle. Our data set ranges from the average monthly fitness-club fee to bike score to the share of physically inactive adults. We also considered factors that might negatively impact people’s ability to stay active this year, like the prevalence of COVID-19.
