Winners in 10 competitive skydiving disciplines will be named National Champions, a selection of which will represent the United States at the World Meet this October in Australia.

The National Skydiving Championships started on September 4th, and wrap up on Wednesday, September 18th at the Chicagoland Skydiving Center (CSC), 1207 West Gurler Road, Rochelle.

This honor is particularly special for CSC as the company celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. CSC was originally established in 1968 in Hinckley, Illinois as Chicagoland’s first skydiving school. The company moved to Rochelle in 2011, expanding to a larger facility with the specific goal to someday host the US National Championships.

More than 700 competitors will participate in the competition. CSC expects teams from 40 US States and 6 countries to attend. About two-thirds of the competitors will be making their first visit to Chicagoland Skydiving Center and Rochelle, IL. With the addition of coaches, families, and various supporters, approximately 1500 guests are expected to attend the meet.

And, if you'd like to stop by to check out some of the skydiving action, you'll love the price-point for spectators---it's free.
