It wasn't a typical Monday. At least not like we've had in the last few months. An afternoon temp of 63 degrees, some sunshine and something else was happening.

Rockford was hit with a serious case of smiles... and we're working hard to make sure it never goes away!

We start every Monday with a question; what can we do for you to Make Your Monday? Something we could do on the show that would start your day perfectly.

Our first 'request' was pretty simple. Amanda Jane asked:

Remind everyone to smile at each other. Monday's are hard enough without seeing everyone else scowling.

We shared Amanda's request and played a song thought we thought would encourage the smiles.

Within minutes you could feel it working.

And that's just a couple of the smiles we were sent, visit our Facebook page to see more of the smiling epidemic that broke out Monday morning.

We succeeded in generating more smiles by fulfilling a couple more #MakeMyMonday requests.

Amy asked if we could bring flowers to a teacher she works with who had a bad week last week and wanted to try and make sure this week was better. So we stopped at Broadway Florist at their new location 4224 Maray Dr. in Rockford.

The other request we got to fulfill on #MakeMyMonday was for forgetful Mitch. His mom always told him he was a bit irresponsible and the morning of his 19th birthday was no different. Mitch forgot he was supposed to bring in snacks to share with his coworkers at Nelson & Storm Tool Supply on 11th street in Rockford and he was already out driving his route and had no time to pick anything up. He asked for our help.

One quick call to the newly reopened Victory Tap on Harrison Ave.
