Record Store Day preparation for a music store in Rockford.

Vinyl And The Local Record Store Is Back

I am a huge fan of music. I have attended many concerts and local shows. I listen to music all the time. I still even buy music. I collect both vinyl and CDs. That is what I usually spend my entertainment money on.

The perfect Saturday afternoon for me is going on a record store crawl to find some treasure. Luckily, we have some amazing ones in and around Rockford. They have really made a comeback in the last few years.

The big box stores stopped selling music, so your only in-person places are the independent stores and I am all good with that.

Along with the stores, vinyl has made a huge return. Not just the old school stuff but new releases too. I am so excited about that.

You can get unique albums like the latest from the "Home Town Boys," Cheap Trick.

Toad Hall is another great place in Rockford to visit on Record Store Day.

Record store day always features a bunch of Classic Rock releases. This year is no exception. Check out the whole list, HERE.

Every year, there are some fun freebies too. If you get there early, you might be able to pick up one of these bags.
