Rockford Park District Will Attempt to Break Swim Lesson World Record
If you haven't checked the weather app on your phone yet, or you missed the "Five Things You Need to Know Before You Go" on the Steve Shannon Show, you should know that it's going to be sunny and 85 today; an absolutely perfect day to take the kids to the pool.
And today, if you take your kids to one of these four locations, you could help the Rockford Park District break a world a world record. According to WREX, starting today, more than 20 countries are holding the World's Largest Swim Lesson over 24 hours and the park district is joining in on the fun by offering free lessons here:
- Magic Waters Waterpark, 7820 Cherryvale N Blvd, Cherry Valley - 12:30 to 1
- Harkins Aquatic Center, 910 Acorn St, Rockford - 2 to 2:30
- Sand Park, 1041 E. Riverside Blvd, Loves Park - 3:30 to 4
- Alpine Pool, 4310 Newburg Rd., Rockford - 3:30 to 4
The lessons are free but you'll have to pay to stay and play. This is going to be a lot of fun and wouldn't it be cool to see Rockford in the record books for something positive?
Let's do this, Rockford.
