School may be out for the summer, but there are some in District 205 that are remaining open for the summer for a wonderful reason.

Several District 205 schools are providing free meals to students in Rockford who need them. This will include breakfast and lunch. These services will be provided to kids 18 and younger, and you don't even have to be in the district to receive meals, according to wifr.com. Here is the list of schools that are participating. Meals will be provided Monday through Friday until July 11th.

Ellis, Eisenhower, Gregory and Lewis Lemon
Breakfast: 7:50-8:10 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Kennedy/Wilson ASPIRE
Breakfast: 8-8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Summerdale
Breakfast: 8-8:20 a.m.
Lunch: 10:45 – 11:05 a.m.

Roosevelt
Breakfast only: 9:30-10:30 a.m.

First Lutheran Church & Swan Hillman
Lunch only: 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Thompson
Lunch only: 12:30 – 1:00 p.m.
