"I would like to nominate Mrs. Wilks for Teacher of the Week because she consistently creates a welcoming, kind, and joyful learning environment for every student who walks into her classroom. From the moment students arrive, they are greeted with warmth and genuine care, which immediately sets the tone for a positive and productive day. Her classroom is a place where students feel safe, valued, and respected, and that sense of belonging makes a powerful difference in their willingness to learn."

"She has a remarkable ability to make learning fun and engaging. Lessons are thoughtfully planned, creative, and interactive, encouraging students to participate and take ownership of their learning. She meets students where they are, celebrates their successes, and supports them through challenges with patience and encouragement. Because of her approach, students are not only learning academic skills, but also building confidence and a love for school.

As Teacher of the Week, Mrs. Wilks was surprised with a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes, money to spend at WM Day Spa Salon, and lunch courtesy of Redd Insurance Group.
